The two-day Authentic Communicator: Activating Presence course, run by the UNSW business school, is teaching executives a thing or two about being in the spotlight.

Presenting in front of an audience is much less about you than you might think. Sure, everyone is staring at you, and you’re the one on stage with your heart about to burst out of your chest.

But it’s not about you, it’s about them, says Peter Fisher, a theatre, film and television actor who has designed senior executive leadership programs for Telstra, Westpac and Lend Lease. “It’s getting out of your head and letting go of being self-conscious.”
