Mining union splits from CFMEU

The national president of the Construction Forestry Maritime Mining and Energy Union, Tony Maher, has resigned from his position, saying the union is "impossibly divided" and accusing its powerful construction arm of bullying.

The CFMEU's mining division, which Mr Maher heads, has also resolved not to have anything to do with the union's national arm as the fallout over John Setka continues.
