An arm of the country’s largest listed labour-hire company, PeopleIN, has been revealed as paying thousands of staff below award wages for decades by using a loophole in workplace laws.

A full bench of the Fair Work Commission on Thursday axed the 20-year zombie agreement of PeopleIN subsidiary AWX after noting the agreement’s inferior conditions had underpinned the firm’s business model since 2004.
