Don’t fight work-from-home trend, says Productivity Commission

Employers should let staff work remotely even after the pandemic is over because the shift has the potential to increase productivity, according to advice provided to the federal government.

In a report, the Productivity Commission said the percentage of Australians who work from home has risen from 8 per cent to 40 per cent in the past two years, with stay-at-home orders smashing the stigma and organisational barriers that prevented employees from working remotely.
