The peak union body is pushing the Albanese government to either scrap or overhaul the Productivity Commission, which it accuses of peddling “failed economic models” of privatisation and deregulation.

The Australian Council of Trade Unions called for a review of the PC as part of its bid to set up a Full Employment Commission to advise a proposed committee that would include the federal treasurer and Reserve Bank on how to reach zero “involuntary” unemployment.
