Shaunte Mears-Watkins is CEO of Advanced Cosmeceuticals Skin Group. She’s 46 and lives in Northbridge, Sydney.

How did you start rowing?
I was at university and a friend who was a rower dared me to give it a go. I was athletic – I’d always jogged, but nothing competitive – and keen to try new things. I think I had said something like, “How hard can it be?” Turns out it’s pretty hard.
