Wendy McCarthy arrives at Otto, an Italian eatery on the southern shores of Sydney Harbour at 12.30pm on the dot. Dressed in a pale pink pantsuit, which is later revealed to be a Carla Zampatti number, she knows the drill: order food and talk to me under the gaze of the photographer, occasionally smiling directly at the camera. Only then is she allowed to eat and drink.
