Paul Briggs is the chairman of the Australian Football League’s national Indigenous advisory board and the founding president of the Rumbalara Football and Netball Club in northern Victoria.

In 2005, he was the first Indigenous man to join the council of the University of Melbourne. He has also been instrumental in the creation of the Victorian Indigenous Leadership Network and First Nations Australian Credit Union, where he was the founding president.
