The business of coaching someone through various stages of their lives – from childhood through to work, motherhood, menopause and death – has grown dramatically.

Dave Murphy spent 15 years working in marketing, including with global agency DDB in Sydney and Amsterdam, and Droga5 in New York, the agency set up by Australian ad man David Droga.

Although he loved it at the time, work was intense and exhausting, and he eventually burnt out. “I was becoming disconnected. I wasn’t finding any meaning or fulfillment,” he says.
