I am often asked, “What is the next big thing?” Obviously, at the minute, everyone wants me to respond with artificial intelligence, and I do. Why wouldn’t I? The meteoric rise of AI-related businesses in the US has even led to the well-worn acronym of FAANG being upgraded to the magnificent seven.
Although rough references to Yul Brynner, Charles Bronson and Steve McQueen [from The Magnificent Seven movie] break the ice, my mind immediately goes to the reality that AI has been part of our daily and working lives for the past 20 years.
