Swiss private equity giant Partners Group is paying $1.2 billion to acquire GreenSquare DC, the latest Australian data centre operator to attract a massive price tag from deep-pocketed international investors.
The company was founded in 2020 and, like AirTrunk, which was acquired for $24 billion by Blackstone last year, is targeting demand from large cloud computing and artificial intelligence companies for data centre space.
