The value of the world’s most watched company Nvidia fell by almost 7 per cent after an earnings report that exceeded its guidance on all the usual metrics.

After investors paused for breath ahead of Thursday morning’s bellwether quarterly earnings call for the company that has epitomised the AI boom, they started selling.
