It’s long been a truism of Australian (and global) media that Rupert Murdoch does not sue. Not for defamation anyway.
His myriad outlets will probably leap to his defence. And News Corporation can be counted on to aggressively defend its interests, including through the courts. But Murdoch himself has a very thick skin. Or perhaps, as biographer Michael Wolffhas mused, a basic disregard for what anyone else says about him.
