Pharmacy Guild’s president not quite a full professor
Myriam RobinRear Window editorThe Pharmacy Guild of Australia is sometimes referred to as the most powerful lobby group you’ve never heard of. But in the corridors of power, everyone is aware of the guild, both for its hefty political donations and its fierce representation of its member pharmacy owners.
There’s been a changing of the guard at the guild recently. Last month it elected a new national president in Queenslander Trent Twomey. Or, should we say, in “Professor Trent Twomey”, as the Cairns-based pharmacist is referred to in guild communications.
