Rich Listers Palmer, Pratt top political donations – again
Billionaire businessman Clive Palmer was Australia’s biggest political donor again last financial year, spending $5.9 million to bankroll his United Australia Party ahead of the Queensland state election.
The spend was an abject failure, delivering the Mineralogy boss just 0.6 per cent of the vote, and comes after he blew $83 million on a failed campaign for the 2019 federal election.
