Omicron threat ‘manageable’: Greg Hunt

The Morrison government has expressed cautious optimism about the omicron COVID-19 variant, as expert public health advice from around the world suggests it could be more mild than delta.
Health Minister Greg Hunt said on Tuesday the “overwhelming view” of federal authorities was that the new variant of concern could be manageable, despite a two-week delay to the return of overseas students and skilled migrants to Australia.
