ATAGI to review COVID-19 booster program amid omicron threat

The country’s COVID-19 booster program could be sped up as a result of the newest virus variant, as Health Minister Greg Hunt confirmed all known cases in Australia remained asymptomatic.
Public health experts and governments around the world are scrambling to assess the risk from the newly identified omicron variant, designated by the World Health Organisation as a variant of concern at the weekend.
