The Greens’ contention that legislation could be passed to force the break-up of the two major supermarkets is beyond the sway of reasoned argument.
What doesn’t serve anyone is the populist condemnation of the major supermarkets and the empty threats of breaking them up, which the federal opposition also seems to think has some crass vote-buying appeal.
