Be alert but not alarmed about post-COVID productivity slump
There is a lot of noise, and various explanations for the short-term decline, but not yet a clear story of emerging structural impediments to growth.

Over the year to September, labour productivity growth fell by 2.1 per cent. While this is a slight improvement on the previous quarter, it represents a slide of about 0.9 per cent since just before the pandemic.
