ACTU to target business with ‘price gouging’ inquiry

The Australian Council of Trade Unions is targeting businesses with a national inquiry into price gouging in a push to convince the Albanese government to toughen competition policy.

Led by former competition watchdog Allan Fels, the inquiry will call for submissions from experts, whistleblowers and small businesses to expose profiteering ahead of public hearings across the country.
