Investors are bracing for key US inflation figures to help gauge whether the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy settings are restrictive enough to quash elevated price pressures ahead of next month’s board meeting.
The data will also be closely monitored by the Reserve Bank, as the US inflation picture typically precedes what’s coming to Australia.
