A final dividend of $1.15 per share fully franked, was down 38¢ per share, will be paid on September 8.
In July, sales at JB Hi-Fi Australia fell 1.8 per cent.
JB Hi-Fi boss Terry Smart says the retailer is well-placed to capture more shoppers’ dollars trading down in a tougher economic environment and expects sale events such as November’s Black Friday to resonate strongly with consumers.
Mr Smart said Australia’s largest home entertainment retailer grew its market share over the past year, helping to cushion the slowdown with July sales falling.
