Split oversight of Australia’s research and development incentives could be overhauled, after the federal government charged the Board of Taxation with recommending ways to streamline rules and reduce costs for industry.
Corporate Tax Association boss Michelle de Niese welcomed a review of the split administration of the scheme by the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science and the Australian Taxation Office, announced in last week’s federal budget.
