Using Ozempic before surgery may be dangerous

Widespread use of the blockbuster weight loss drug Ozempic has opened a new area of concern for people preparing for an operation.
The concern arises because Ozempic and other GLP-1 drugs in its class tend to slow the rate at which the stomach empties.
