The latest, and arguably greatest, version of Chevrolet’s Corvette to be released in Australia is known as the E-Ray.

This new name – a play on the usual Stingray – denotes a hybrid drivetrain, though the maker is keen to point out (as are Ferrari, Lamborghini and others with hybrid sports machines) that the adding of an electrical system is first and foremost about performance.
