Zeekr is but one of a veritable armada of Chinese electric SUVs here, or it’s well on the way. Where it differs from most compatriot brands is that it has declared itself “premium” and says it doesn’t intend to duke it out on price or length of warranty (it’s five years on the car, eight on the batteries).
The first model to arrive is the X, a smallish SUV, and the pricing starts at $56,900 plus on-road costs for the rear-drive model. At the time of writing, that’s more than the yo-yoing price of Tesla’s entry-level Model 3.
