Still luminous after all these years: Bill Henson returns with the ACO
More than a slideshow with a pretty soundtrack, the photographer's collaboration with Richard Tognetti of the Australian Chamber Orchestra started with lunch.
Bill Henson's photographs have been intriguing the world for five decades, but when he was asked to do a show with the Australian Chamber Orchestra, he knew that simply displaying the pictures would never do.
"I consider myself a maker of objects – well, flattish objects – and, like all objects, they rely on stillness and silence for the contemplation that will give them their power," Henson tells Life & Leisure from his inner Melbourne home.
