Opera Australia fell to the worst operating loss in its history in 2021, yet is as cashed-up as it’s ever been thanks to the sale of its inner-Sydney warehouse.

The annual report of Australia’s largest performing arts company, released on Monday, revealed a $22.6 million operating loss in 2021, compared to an $18.5 million operating deficit in 2020.
