Uniti Group, investors back Bowen despite insider trading allegations

Uniti Group executive director Vaughan Bowen will keep his job at the telco, the company has confirmed, despite facing insider trading allegations from the corporate regulator.

Mr Bowen – the founder of M2 and former chairman of Vocus – is facing two charges of insider trading over the sale of 5.6 million Vocus shares on June 4, 2019, allegedly made with inside knowledge that private equity firm EQT would withdraw its $3.3 billion takeover tilt for the once-troubled company.
