Vaughan Bowen denies insider trading charges
Uniti Group executive director and ex-Vocus chairman Vaughan Bowen will fight two charges of insider trading relating to the sale of Vocus shares in 2019, which were potentially worth $25.7 million.
Mr Bowen appeared via his legal representatives in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, where the corporate regulator alleged he offloaded about 5.6 million shares in Vocus with inside knowledge that private equity firm EQT would withdraw its $3.3 billion takeover tilt for the once-troubled telco.
