Woolworths Group chief executive Brad Banducci says wet weather has played havoc with the availability of fruit and vegetables which could cause a temporary supply squeeze in frozen goods and potato crisps in summer.

But in good news, Mr Banducci expects surging food prices to ease in the next quarter as the supermarket giant begins to cycle rises from a year ago.
