Space is finite – this company helps retailers maximise it
Scalene helps retailers make the best use of their footprint, while Samsara Eco is tackling fashion’s huge plastic waste problem.
In any business, resources are finite. Even the most robust round of capital raising has its end. And in retail businesses, one of the most important resources – space – has hard limits. There is only so much stock you can place in any given store, no matter how much you have, or how much you want to sell.
Enter Scalene. The six-year-old business, founded by Mick Moore and Pushkar Kumar, uses data science and the retail experience of its advisers to help large retail businesses – which often contain a multitude of products (like a supermarket) – use their physical spaces effectively to push product out the door and maximise profit.
