Lithium giant says WA ‘labour crisis’ is holding back mining

Battery chemicals giant Albemarle has pointed to a “labour crisis” holding back the resurgent lithium sector in Western Australia.
The US company said it had sold out of lithium for the rest of this year, but indicated restarting its closed Wodgina mine in WA to build up stocks of spodumene would be no easy task and made all the more harder by the demands of iron ore miners looking to cash in on roaring prices.
