Seven Network focused on winning demographics war in 2022

After claiming the ratings crown for “total people” at the end of 2021, the Seven Network is looking to 2022 as the year it will grow its audience in the key advertiser demographics 16-39 year olds and 25-54 year olds – areas dominated last year by the 9Network.

This year’s official ratings period – which begins in February and ends in November, with a small break over the Easter period – kicks off this week, with all three commercial networks having used the summer period differently as marketing launchpads. Seven and the 9Network relied on sport – cricket and tennis respectively – to market upcoming shows, while Network 10 used I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.
