The royal commission into aged care has made 148 wide-ranging recommendations, with professionalising the workforce through more education, better training and higher wages being a key for corporate facility operators.

Health Minister Greg Hunt outlined an initial $452 million commitment, and five-year road map to address the deep-rooted issues in the sector on Monday, noting the final report’s recommendations should “shape the culture for better respect of our elders.”
