At the 11th hour, after a long fight involving courtrooms and calls to sway investors, the directors of an embattled pirate-themed fund simply fell on their swords.

The directors of Brisbane-based investment fund Benjamin Hornigold, named after an 18th-century pirate, resigned on Wednesday night just before a vote from rebel shareholders to oust them.
