IN the final stretch before South Australians go to the polls, we look at what inducements the major parties are dangling in front of voters.

TRANSPORT

Labor - Removal of seven of the most dangerous and congested level crossings across the metropolitan area.

Labor – A promise to return trams to O’Connell Street, North Adelaide, and The Parade, Norwood, for the first time in 60 years.

Labor – Rebuild the Tonsley station.

Labor – Package to support taxi drivers including reducing insurance costs and lifetime support levy.

Liberal – Also rebuild the Tonsley station.

Liberal – Right turn for trams on to North Terrace.

Liberal – Examine top 10 list of infrastructure projects including underground CBD train, non-stop South Rd and O-Bahn extension.

Liberal – Investigate transport projects including a CBD tram loop and North Adelaide spur.

Liberal – $1.3m for traffic lights at Dernancourt Shopping Centre.

SA Best – Free 24/7 public transport travel for seniors.

SA Best – Raft of measures for taxi drivers including $10,000 handout, reducing registration fees and increasing licence fee for all taxis, hire cars and Uber vehicles.

Greens – Move Adelaide 500 to Tailem Bend.

All parties –  Provide real-time fuel pricing

EDUCATION

Labor – $70 million for personal laptops to all Years 10, 11 and 12 public school students by 2021.

Labor –$37.5 million for 10 more children’s centres.

Labor – $6 million for more nature-play spaces in schools.

Labor – Give TAFE at least 70 per cent of vocational education and training funding.

Labor – $100m boost for TAFE.

Liberal – A $100 million package for 20,000 new apprenticeships and traineeships.

Liberal – $12m funding to lower cost of school sport for families.

SA Best – Roll out the Carly Ryan Foundation’s “Online Safety and Emotional Intelligence Seminars” to all Year 6 students.

SA Best – Qantas flight school in Whyalla or Port Lincoln.

HEALTH

Labor –  Eye hospital in Adelaide CBD.

Labor – $1 million to train doctors to prescribe medicinal cannabis.

Labor – Spy cameras and investigations unit in response to Oakden ICAC report.

Labor – $22.7m for mental health services.

Labor – $5.5 million suicide prevention package.

Labor – $4 million to train specialist nurses in treating chronic medical conditions.

Labor – $15m for prevetative measures for deadly diseases.

Liberal – Reopening The Repat’s surgical theatres.

Liberal – $40m to cut wait time for elective surgery.

Liberal – Three specialist aged care facilities for people with severe mental health conditions.

SA Best – A royal commission into the state’s health system.

SA Best – Increasing palliative care services to provide access 24/7.

SA Best – Mandatory rehabilitation for ice users.

SA Best – Reinstate a high-dependency unit at Modbury Hospital.

SA Best – $5 million to trial treatments for rare cancer patients.

ENERGY

Labor - All South Australians will be eligible for a no-interest loan of up to $10,000 to buy and install solar and battery systems.

Labor - Establish an Energy & Water Services Department, to bring together publicly owned essential services and protect them from privatisation.

Labor – Increasing SA’s Renewable Energy Target to 75 per cent by 2025.

Labor – Virtual power plant in 50,000 homes.

Labor – Bulk-buy power deal with Origin Energy to provide bill discounts for up to 168,000.

Labor – $25 million in grants and loans to world’s largest solar and wind hydrogren plant if it goes ahead.

Liberal – Power plan including $100m battery grants for 40,000 homes and an interconnector with NSW.

Liberal – A $360 million relief package aimed at cutting the average household ESL bill by 50 per cent.

SA Best – Non-profit community electricity retailer to bring down power bills by 20 per cent within two years.

SA Best – Cuts to ESL levy including scrapping it for volunteer firefighters.

BUSINESS

Labor - Threat of jail for employers found guilty of wage theft.

Labor – Establish an independent National Shipbuilding Authority in Adelaide to deliver the $90 billion ship and submarine build.

Liberal – $155 million payroll tax-relief package for small business.

Liberal – Deregulating shopping hours.

Liberal – Visa pilot program for entrepeneurs.

Liberal – $1.25m for Food SA to promote food and wine exports.

Liberal – Deregulation of shopping hours in first 100 days.

Liberal – Make financial managers set up in SA and employ local staff.

Liberal – Reveal details of money given to lure companies to SA and jobs they created.

Liberal – Support business owners and investors by trimming land tax.

Liberal – Defence workforce plan to ensure SA gets as many jobs as possible from the $90 billion ship and submarine build.

SA Best – Reducing gaming machines by 50 per cent within five years from 2019 and introducing a $1 betting limit.

SA Best – Waive payroll tax for small businesses that take on more workers.

Greens – Ditching pokies from pubs and clubs.

INFRASTRUCTURE

Labor - The fastest internet in Australia via a $35m expansion of the existing fibre network.

Labor – A $150 million injection of equity into a new SA Ports Authority to oversee the development of ports, including a new multi-user, deep-water port in Spencer Gulf.

Labor – $4 million to revamp Chinatown.

Labor – $350 million over nine years to develop old RAH site for future industries including artificial intelligence, cyber security, renewable energy and film.

Labor – $150m to build 600 new housing trust homes and provide interest free deposits.

Labor – Upgrade Port Adelaide’s Alberton Oval.

Liberal – A new freight airport near Monarto and dual rail lines linking it to Port Adelaide.

Liberal – Developing the old RAH site to include an innovation hub, national Aboriginal art gallery, and $60m centre for tourism, hospitality and food services.

Liberal – 30 per cent of mining royalties to be spent on regional infrastructure.

Liberal – Scrap Riverbank authority and speed up precinct development.

Australian Conservatives – Nuclear waste dump for SA.

LAW

Labor – A dedicated crisis line for domestic violence victims, tougher penalties for abusers.

Labor – Introduce legislation to make industrial manslaughter a criminal offence.

Labor – Set a minimum age of 14 for young people to be employed (with some exemptions) and restrict employers with a history of exploiting young workers.

Liberal – Council rate-capping.

Liberal – Better support, notification, a dedicated crisis line and emergency accommodation for domestic violence victims.

SA Best – A reduction in the number of ministers, portfolios and MPs in Parliament.

SA Best – Introduce stricter Carly’s Law to State Parliament.

SA Best – Hold government bosses responsible for refusing to release documents, and relase Cabinet documents after five years.

SA Best – Create a federal body to investigate every fatal family violence incident.

SA Best – Give victims the right to be part of any plea bargain deal by prosecutors.

SA Best – Establish a legal aid system for victims to have representation in court.

Australian Conservatives – Make government declare all spending over $250.

ENVIRONMENT

Labor – $28m for network of walking and cycling trails and linear parks.
