Torrumbarry Weir. Perricoota-Koondrook Redgum Forrest on the Murray River downstream from Echuca.The Forrest, which relies on natural flooding of the river to survive, is suffering due to drought. Forrests NSW are planning to build a canal from the Torrumbarry Weir to artificially flood the area. First step in this plan has seen the aquisition of 'Toorangabby' property, the only privately owned portion of the forrest that would be affected by the flooding.
