Iconic NSW Riverina station hits the market
A historic 5548ha irrigated and dryland station has been listed for sale, where it could field huge offers. See the details.
More than 12,700ha of neighbouring irrigated, cropping and grazing farmland is now on the market in the NSW Riverina following the listing of a historic station.
The Bozzo family, via their farming company Lotus Oaks, is selling the renowned Tuppal Station, spanning 5548ha west of Tocumwal in southern NSW.
Lotus Oaks have been operating Tuppal Station since 2012 when the property was acquired from the Vodusek family.
During their 13-year tenure, Tuppal Station has been subject to significant development and now comprises 831ha of lateral and border check irrigation, 3368ha of dryland cropping and 1348ha of grazing plus remnant vegetation and support land.
Tuppal Station also offers 24km frontage to its namesake creek, direct access to Murray Irrigation Limited and 1762ML of water entitlements including 1122ML groundwater and 640ML MIL.
Industry sources have suggested the property could be worth in the vicinity of $65m, on walk-in walk-out terms.
Considered a historic Riverina station, Tuppal was once part of the F.S. Falkiner and Sons famed pastoral empire, bought in 1891 when it was 64,000ha in size. Following the first world war the station began to be carved up.
Structural improvements and operational infrastructure at Tuppal Station include a historical homestead and three residential dwellings.
There are also five brand new 2000 tonne silos, two large recently constructed machinery sheds, six-stand shearing shed and undercover sheep yards, cattle yards and multiple other storage and complementary shedding.
Colliers Agribusiness agents Duncan McCulloch, Connor Dixon, Rawdon Briggs and Matthew Tolmachoff have been appointed the sell Tuppal Station via an international expressions of interest campaign.
Colliers agents declined to comment on the listing.
The iconic Tuppal Station neighbours another sprawling aggregation of dryland and irrigated cropping farmland, the 7210ha Oomabah Aggregation.
Listed for sale in June this year by Australian farmland investor and developer Kilter Rural, Oomabah was tipped to field offers worth $60m.
Together the Tuppal Station and Oomabah Aggregation offer 12,758ha with a combined 1315ha developed for irrigation.
