The rooftop terrace, now with a full service bar, retractable roof, heaters and stunning harbour views, is the most impressive change to the newly renovated and newly re-opened Glenmore Hotel. The salt-and-pepper squid was melt-in-the-mouth tender and the balance of the accompanying lime mayonnaise was just right. The generous sirloin steak was a little over-done, but came on a bed of sweet potato mash and a dark beer jus so flavoursome there was a clashing of forks over the last mouthful. The delicately dressed coleslaw on the pulled pork sandwich allowed the sweet, caramelised meat to shine.
