Sometimes dining with kids can be an ordeal, particularly when they’re starving or bored — or hangry as I call it. If you want to keep the whole family happy, look no further than these five of the best kid-friendly eateries in and around Hobart. If the kids are happy, parents are happy.

The Shoreline Hotel, 10 Shoreline Drive, Howrah

The Shoreline is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day and recently had acclaimed chef Ruben Koopman join them so it’s no surprise the food is five-star. The menu for kids 12 and under is wholesome and delicious with chips or vegies on offer in the restaurant with the charred chicken breast, battered fish with lemon, the steak and burger and the kids brownie among the most popular. Let the kids burn off all their extra energy on the big new playground or the indoor playroom.
