Toowoomba Criminal Investigation Branch Detective Senior Sergeant Paul McCusker appealed for anyone who saw Ms Chopra alive in weeks and months before her death to make contact.

He added that the injuries she sustained have led police to treat her death as a homicide.

“We have engaged the services of the Homicide Investigation Unit out of Brisbane,” he said.

“It is currently here, assisting us with our inquires, mainly as to her movements on or about January 20-21.”

Krishna Chopra was found dead in her Crows Nest home in Park Road on January 31 after a friend made repeated visits but could not reach her.

In particular, detectives wish to trace her movements between January 20 and 22 and encourage members of the public who have not come forward to make contact and assist in this investigation.

Investigators are also appealing for anyone who was on Park Road, Crows Nest on January 21 to come forward to police as they may have relevant information which will assist investigators.

This includes anyone who may have seen the 61-year-old woman driving one of her two vehicles – a blue Toyota coupe or a white Toyota wagon.

“Just putting her photograph out there might not prompt someone’s memory, but putting her photograph with one of those vehicles might,” Sgt McCusker said.

Police have canvassed the area extensively and examined the inside of Ms Chopra home and want to speak with anyone who played golf at the Crows Nest Golf Club on or around January 20-22.

“It doesn’t matter how small (your information is), we would rather know the information and decide whether it is something that could assist us then not ever know it or find out in six months-time,” he said.
