Police crime map data reveals Toowoomba drug hotspots

Are you concerned that your street is a hotspot from drug dealers and their customers? New data from the Queensland Police Service reveals if you should be worried.

The Ripple Effect – Drugs

Officers have issued more than 960 drug charges in Toowoomba in the past six months, according to reported data from the Queensland Police Service.

They include minor possession charges through to indictable offences, such as trafficking and producing dangerous drugs.

Unsurprisingly, the highest concentrations of offences are in Toowoomba’s CBD and its major thoroughfares, including Ruthven St, West St and Bridge St.

Outside of the CBD, Newtown and Wilsonton are the suburbs with the greatest number of offences.

Recently, 24-year-old North Toowoomba man Jack D’Artagan Douglas was placed on a 15-month probation order after pleading guilty to growing cannabis in his Fanny St home.

Similarly, Brandon John Modrzynski, 22, and Jayme Elizabeth Duggan, 25, were busted for meth possession after a small bag of the drug fell from their tobacco pouch while they were being interviewed by police after a crash on Stenner St.
