Six teens arrested after two Kias stolen from Sunshine Coast

Six teenagers have been arrested after two stolen vehicles were tracked by police in the early hours of Thursday morning on the Sunshine Coast.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said officers were first called to Lurnea Cr, Mountain Creek, about midnight to reports a car was stolen.
About 12.30am, police found the allegedly stolen Kia Carnival abandoned on Powers Rd, Sippy Downs.
Police and the dog squad searched the area, and a 16-year-old Minyama boy was arrested at a bus stop on Dixon Rd.
The boy was charged with enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, unlawful use of motor vehicle, and unauthorised dealing with shop goods, and will appear in Maroochydore Children’s Court on April 16.
Later, about 2.30am, police found an allegedly stolen Kia Cerato on Peter Crosby Way, Sippy Downs, and again on Pelican Waters Bvd, Pelican Waters.
The Cerato was allegedly stolen from Wurtulla sometime between 11pm on April 8 and 6.45am on April 9.
The police spokesman said police intercepted the car on Lake Vista Lane, prompting five people to flee the scene.
Police searched the area, and four teenage boys were arrested in bushland near Twiddle Dr.
A fifth boy was later found and arrested on Pelican Waters Bvd.
A 15-year-old Buddina boy was charged with one count of unlawful use of motor vehicle and will appear in Maroochydore Children’s Court on April 16.
Investigations will continue into a 15-year-old Alexandra Headland boy, a 15-year-old Bells Creek boy, a 16-year-old Nambour boy, and a 14-year-old Landsborough boy.
