A crime scene has been declared following a fire in a laundry in a block of Sunshine Coast shops.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said officers were called to the fire on Heathfield Rd at Coolum Beach about 2.45am today, April 10, and the crime scene was declared about 3.40am.
She said the fire was in a laundry.
The shops in the block include a laundromat, Laundered Coolum, Compound Surf and Drink Coffee and Coolum Farm Fresh among others.
Three fire trucks were called with a police officer monitoring the incident.
A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said firefighters arrived about 2.55am and the blaze, which began in a dryer, was out by about 3.10am.
She said a fire investigator would start a probe and there was no indication at this early stage as to the cause of the fire.
