Caloundra stolen Mercedes: Three juveniles arrested after alleged joyride

Three juveniles are in custody following a dramatic on foot arrest after allegedly stealing a Mercedes from Brisbane and dumping it on a busy Sunshine Coast road.

Three juveniles are in custody after two of them were chased down by Caloundra police officers following an alleged joy ride from Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast.

Caloundra police arrested a 15-year-old girl and two boys aged 16 and 17, all from Brisbane, after they dumped an alleged stolen 2020 Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S along Bowman Rd about 7am on Tuesday, June 7, 2022.

A Queensland Police spokeswoman said the luxury vehicle was stolen from New Farm in Brisbane on June 6, 2022 and was dumped in Caloundra on Tuesday morning.

Uniformed officers gave chase to two of the alleged offenders on foot when they dumped the car and were eventually arrested.

Another juvenile was arrested on Tuesday and were assisting the Sunshine Coast Child Protection Investigation Unit detectives with their inquiries.

No charges have been laid this time.
