The owner of a formerly popular crepe cart on Hastings St has opened her first creperie in Noosa, promising to deliver traditional French favourites and European-style coffee.

The woman behind the newly-opened La Vie en Rose, Annabel Pincede, first moved to Noosa from France 10 years ago before opening a popular crepe cart on Hastings St.

“About eight years ago I did a little food cart on Hastings St, selling crepes up until covid when I moved to manage a big creperie in Melbourne,” Ms Pincede said.

“It was very popular and after that I knew I always wanted to open a proper shop.”

Ms Pincede said La Vie en Rose, which is located at 231 Gympie Tce, offered more than a traditional creperie experience, with the venue transforming into a wine bar at night, offering a wide selection of French cheese.

“We have really good French cheese and French cider, which is the traditional drink to have with crepes,” Ms Pincede said.

“And it all comes from France, which is unusual to find here in Noosa.”

Ms Pincede said she also wanted the cafe to have a strong emphasis on locally-made ingredients, with the creperie offering its own unique coffee blend made in Cooroy.

“We try to do a lot of stuff homemade, and importantly we never turn the coffee machine off so even when we are open at night you can still get a coffee, which people love,” Ms Pincede said.

“I really wanted a European-style coffee for the creperie.”

Despite only opening a week ago, Ms Pincede said La Vie en Rose was already proving to be popular amongst locals.

“We’ve had very good feedback, people are already coming back which is really good,” Ms Pincede.

“It is a such a good location too, it is very Parisian-style facing the river.”
