Two people have been taken to hospital and lanes remain closed on the Bruce Highway after a multi-vehicle crash south of Rockhampton.
Emergency services responded to the crash at Bajool, near the Archer railway station, about 8.50am.
It is understood one of the vehicles involved was towing a caravan that rolled and was “extensively damaged”.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said a tow truck was on scene working to remove the ute and caravan from the southbound lanes.
“We have one lane open but there are still delays,” she said.
The northbound lane on the Bruce Highway is open.
Paramedics were on scene assessing two patients.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said two patients were transported to hospital in stable conditions.
The crash follows a truck rollover on the Bruce Highway at the Raglan Creek Bridge near Mount Larcom on Sunday night that claimed the life of a 64-year-old Laidley man.
It also follows a horror crash on the Bruce Highway between a truck carrying an army tank and multiple vehicles on Bobs Creek Bridge at Bajool on July 19 that saw six people hospitalised, three with suspected spinal injuries.
