President Joe Biden will urge Donald Trump not to abandon Ukraine during a meeting in the Oval Office on Wednesday (Thursday AEDT) amid concerns that the president-elect could halt military assistance in the war against Russia.

President to head south for summits

US President Joe Biden will ­attend two key summits and visit the Amazon rainforest in South America this month, in a trip ­totally overshadowed by Donald Trump’s election win.
