He’s right – it’s a velvety winter winner – but it’s just one of many things to love at South Australian brewer Pirate Life’s first Victorian venue. It may be situated in a former mechanic’s garage, but it’s slicker than your average beer hall. There’s also a meaty, fire-powered menu and an area devoted to takeaway tinnies and merch.
